Marie Curie eligibility criteria will be applied:
- At the time of the recruitment the researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity in Italy for more than 12 months in the three years immediately prior to his/her recruitment under the project
- The researcher must have a doctoral degree. Equivalent experience of 4 years after the degree which formally allows embarking for doctoral studies should be considered valid.
Job Description:
Plasmore is searching an experienced researcher in surface modification and characterization technologies for biosensors and biointeracting platforms for the Marie Curie-People project (FP-PEOPLE-2011-IAPP) IMPRESS (IMPRoved food safety monitoring through Enhanced imaging nanoplasmoicS).
The overall objective of the IMPRESS project is to develop an affordable, portable, multiplexed and flexible biosensor device which gives a fast impression of the quality and safety of food. The appointee will work on the development of optimal nano-surfaces for the design of the different microarrays and to test the performance of the developed nano- iSPR system.

Plasmore’s expertise ranges from the development and production of nanoplasmonics surfaces and the development, production and engineering of advanced biosensing devices. Specific skills are related to the design and prototyping of optical systems, microfluidics systems, electronics, imaging systems. R&D laboratories of Plasmore are located inside the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in Ispra (Varese, Italy) and inside the laboratories of the department of Physics of the University of Pavia.
Place of work:
the place of work will be mainly in Ispra (JRC labs). Part of the work will be done in Pavia (Dept of Physics)
